What We Do
Through the generous contributions of donors, sponsors and volunteers, we provide funds along with donated services and supplies to help promising competitive figure skaters defray the costs of the sport.
We use the funds we raise to directly finance essential skating expenses—such as ice time, competition and test fees, choreographer fees, membership dues, costumes, training and transportation. Additionally, we serve as the skaters’ advocates in procuring help from supportive resources, including private and corporate sponsors.
We support skaters in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties. Qualifying athletes demonstrate talent and dedication to the sport of figure skating—as determined by independent coach-advisors—as well as financial hardship.
Ice Bridges maintains a zero-tolerance policy for athletes who use or attempt to use any steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs.
